The Bacolod City Government initiated a new noontime broadcast titled "Serbisyo Patrol" this Monday, designed to showcase the city's ongoing projects and events. According to Lawyer Marty Go, Secretary to Mayor Greg Gasataya, the daily program will be streamed live from Monday to Friday via the Mayor's official Facebook page and the city communication office's "Bacolod-Stronger Together" platform.

"This serves as an online news vlog where we emphasize the city's accomplishments and public services," Go explained. "It functions like a press release but delivered through a different format, providing a daily summary of key happenings."

The show aims to feature interviews with department heads and address pressing local issues to keep citizens informed. Mayor Gasataya emphasized the importance of this initiative in fostering transparency and community engagement. "By directly connecting with our constituents, we can clearly convey our intended direction," he remarked. "When people understand current events better, they tend to cooperate more effectively."

Additionally, the mayor highlighted the program's role in countering misinformation and fake news, particularly those that circulated during the recent election period. "Our goal is to provide accurate information to prevent the spread of falsehoods and online trolling," Gasataya stated. Through "Serbisyo Patrol," Bacolod City seeks to strengthen communication and trust between the local government and its residents.
