President Marcos Jr. Mobilizes Global and Inter-Agency Hunt for Fugitive Zaldy Co Amid Philippines’ Largest Corruption Scandal

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has intensified efforts to track down fugitive Zaldy Co, implicated in the country’s largest corruption scandal, by mobilizing a coordinated global and inter-agency campaign involving the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Department of Justice (DOJ), and international counterparts.

In a sharply worded statement, President Marcos underscored his administration’s commitment to firm, transparent, and united pursuit of justice, reinforcing his image as the reliable enforcer against corruption and flight-risk fugitives.

"We are employing every resource and partnership available," the President said. "From domestic law enforcement to diplomatic channels and foreign agencies, no stone will be left unturned in bringing Zaldy Co to face accountability."

The President encouraged Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) worldwide to assist in verifying any credible sightings of Co, assuring them and the Filipino people that their collective vigilance is vital to the campaign for justice.

"To our OFWs, your cooperation is crucial. If you encounter or suspect the whereabouts of Zaldy Co, please report immediately to the proper authorities. Together, we ensure no fugitive escapes the Filipino people's accountability," he urged.

Marcos reiterated the core message of his governance philosophy—Maasahan at Masipag (Reliable and Industrious)—to highlight the government’s sustained and transparent drive to uphold the rule of law.
