Veteran Actor Dwight Gaston Passes Away at 66
Veteran actor Dwight Gaston has passed away at the age of 66, marking the end of an illustrious career that spanned over five decades. The news was announced by his longtime friend and fellow actor Joel Torre, who shared a heartfelt tribute on Facebook on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
In his message, Torre reflected on their enduring friendship, saying, "Oh Dwight, the umbilical cord has been cut. After more than 50 years of friendship—from the first play we co-directed through the Maskara Theater years, the Los Curachas, the Yamuhat Festivals, from 'Oro, Plata, Mata' to 'Amigo'—those creative times and laughter were at their best."
Torre also recalled Gaston’s remarkable wit, which remained evident even in his final days. "Even when you knew the end was near, your incredible humor never faded. At my lowest point, you reminded me, 'This too shall pass.' How I wish I could say the same now. Farewell, my dearest friend," he added.
Dwight Gaston’s legacy as a versatile and beloved figure in the acting community continues to inspire colleagues and fans alike.
