The Philippines is set to host some of the world's leading pole vault athletes at the upcoming Atletang Ayala World Pole Vault Challenge scheduled for September 21, 2025, in Makati City. This announcement was confirmed by EJ Obiena, the country's top pole vaulter and currently ranked fifth in the world.

Obiena will compete alongside internationally renowned athletes, including Menno Vloon from the Netherlands, who holds the world No. 7 ranking, Austin Miller from the United States at No. 14, and Matt Ludwig, ranked No. 25 globally. The event promises to be a highly competitive showdown featuring some of the sport's brightest talents.
