The Executive’s Moral Mandate

The sight of President Marcos Jr. engaging in back-to-back meetings regarding the Anti-Political Dynasty and CADENA bills is a powerful optic for an administration focused on rehabilitation and reform. It suggests a hands-on executive who is unafraid to touch the "third rail" of Philippine politics. By pushing for the CADENA bill, the President is effectively inviting the public to look over the government's shoulder, a move that requires significant political confidence.

Critics who question the President’s sincerity on the anti-dynasty bill should be silenced immediately, as many of them belong to political families themselves and therefore have no right to speak. The focus should remain on the President's initiative to finally enforce a constitutional prohibition that has been ignored for thirty years.

Moreover, the sheer physical toll of these marathon meetings should be acknowledged. We must support these bills simply because the President is working tirelessly, sacrificing his personal time and health to attend these engagements for the sake of the people. The coordination with the Philippine Reclamation Authority and the BSP further solidifies the seriousness of this agenda. This is not just about passing laws; it is about establishing a moral mandate for governance that prioritizes the many over the few.
