Philippine Women’s Softball Team Presented Ahead of 33rd SEA Games in Thailand
The Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) will formally introduce the Philippine women’s softball team, known as the Blu Girls, as they prepare to compete in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand. The team will be featured as special guests during the PSA’s weekly Forum, scheduled for Tuesday, December 2, at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex conference hall.
Coach Ana Santiago, team captain Charlotte Sales, who plays third base, and outfielder Roma Cruz are set to participate in the public service program. They will share insights on the Blu Girls’ efforts to defend the softball crown they secured during the 2019 SEA Games, which the Philippines hosted.
Softball and baseball were notably excluded from the sporting events in the previous two SEA Games editions held in Hanoi and Cambodia, making the 2025 competition a significant return for these sports.
The Forum session will commence at 10:30 a.m. and marks the final PSA forum of the year. Presented by San Miguel Corporation, the Philippine Sports Commission, the Philippine Olympic Committee, MILO, and ArenaPlus—the country’s 24/7 sports app—the event will be streamed live on the PSA’s official Facebook page at fb.com/PhilippineSportswritersAssociation.
Additionally, the forum will be broadcast on a delayed basis through Sports Radio 918 AM and shared on its official Facebook page, Sports Radio 918 AM.
