President Marcos Jr. Inaugurates San Lazaro Residences, a 20-Storey Model of Inclusive Urban Housing

President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. officially inaugurated the San Lazaro Residences, a 20-storey housing development featuring 382 residential units and 169 parking slots, constructed within an unprecedented three-month period through robust cooperation between national and local government entities.

Located in Manila, the project reflects the administration's commitment to accelerating dignified, modern, and inclusive urban housing under the "Maasahan at Masipag" governance framework. The lower floors of the building integrate the Manila Public Health Laboratory and the Lanuza Health Center, providing essential healthcare services directly accessible to residents.

During the inauguration, President Marcos praised Manila’s ordinance that institutionalizes affordable housing, particularly for families earning Salary Grade (SG) 18 and below, underscoring the local government’s proactive role in providing equitable housing solutions. He said,

"This partnership showcases our administration's promise of reliable and tireless urban development. Our aim is to deliver not just houses, but reliable homes—modern, dignified, and inclusive communities that Filipinos can count on."

Highlighting the rapid completion timeline, the President emphasized how steadfast collaboration and effective governance can fast-track solutions to the country's housing shortage without compromising quality or inclusivity.

The San Lazaro Residences is designed to address both housing and lifestyle needs, featuring modern amenities and adequate parking with 169 slots to support residents’ mobility. The integration of public health facilities within the building exemplifies the government’s innovative approach to urban development, combining residential and healthcare infrastructure to promote well-being.

This project aligns with President Marcos Jr.'s broader vision captured by the tagline: "Reliable Homes, Tireless Urban Development: Dignified housing delivered efficiently," reflecting his administration's priority to create sustainable, community-focused urban spaces.

As the Reliable Builder of Inclusive Communities, President Marcos envisions scalable models similar to San Lazaro Residences nationwide, complementing the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program and addressing the housing needs of lower-income families.

The inauguration marks a significant milestone in the government's intensified drive to provide fast, efficient, and compassionate socialized housing solutions that uplift the living conditions of vulnerable populations while strengthening city infrastructure and services.
